Drone-Based Remote Sensing for Research on Wind Erosion in Drylands: Possible Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
With rapid innovations in drone, camera, and 3D photogrammetry, drone-based remote sensing can accurately efficiently provide ultra-high resolution imagery digital surface model (DSM) at a landscape scale. Several studies have been conducted using to quantitatively assess the impacts of wind erosion on vegetation communities landforms drylands. In this study, first, five difficulties conducting research through data collection from fieldwork are summarized: insufficient samples, spatial displacement with auxiliary datasets, missing volumetric information, unidirectional view, spatially inexplicit input. Then, possible applications—to reliable valid sample set, mitigate offset, monitor soil elevation change, evaluate directional property land cover, make explicit input for ecological models—of products suggested. To sum up, has become useful method drylands, solve issues caused by collected fieldwork. For we suggest that product should be used as complement field measurements.

متن کاملRemote Sensing of Wind
Remote sensing by LIDARs and SODARs is now ubiquitous in the wind energy industry, but both these technologies are still rapidly changing. What accuracy and reliability can today be expected from SODAR wind measurements? Is there traceable evidence for performance? Environmental factors, turbulent fluctuations and non-uniform terrain all affect the wind speed uncertainty. So site-to-site variat...
